Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is an ancient, traditional form of yoga that dates back over 5000 years. Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, brought Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga to the west, from India. This vigorous, ancient, pure yoga synchronizes deep breathing and movement. The breath, Ujjayi, begins just before the movement, moving you into and out of each pose. This links the postures and creates an internal fire.

Yoga becomes whatever you want it to be. For some who come to Ashtanga, it is a physical exercise that pushes you to your limits and then invites you to go further. For others, they are looking to quiet the mind. As your attention follows each breath, listening to each slow calming inhale, feeling each four second deep exhale, the mind quiets. As your gaze, drishti, stills, your true focus goes within. Still, some seek the spiritual connection linking body, mind and spirit. This journey has no limits. Get lost in yourself. Discover who you are, what you are meant to be. Find that what was your edge, was only the beginning.

This is your yoga. Welcome.
